The Lake County School Board on July 28 gave final approval to multiple district policies covering educational services for students in Department of Juvenile Justice education programs and several personnel categories, the board said.

Board members opened a public hearing on the policies and received no public comment before voting. Deputy Superintendent Farnsworth recommended final approval of the policies as presented, and the motion carried 4-0.

The policies listed during the public hearing included policy 2800 (rescinded), a policy described as addressing educational services for students in Department of Juvenile Justice education programs, and a set of numbered personnel policies listed as 3.120.03 (Athletic Coaches), 3.120.08 (Part-Time Extracurricular Personnel), 4.120.03 (Athletic Coaches), and 4.120.08 (Part-Time Extracurricular Personnel). The board did not receive public comments on the items during the hearing.

Earlier in the meeting the board also approved minutes from the July 14, 2025 meeting and a consent agenda covering items 8.01 through 10.05; both motions passed 4-0.

The actions recorded in the meeting minutes show the board completed the procedural step of a public hearing followed by a formal vote to adopt the policies.
