PAMPA, Texas — The Pampa City Commission voted Aug. 11 to adopt, on second and final reading, Resolution R25-023 approving a project with the Pampa Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to purchase heavy equipment.
Why it matters: The resolution authorizes an economic-development project and allows the Pampa EDC to proceed with acquisition of equipment the city’s EDC identified as part of its economic development activities.
The resolution, read in full at the meeting, is titled “A resolution of the City Commission of the City of Pampa, Texas approving project of the Pampa Economic Development Corporation, providing a severability clause, a savings clause, and an effective date.” A commissioner moved to adopt the resolution on second and final reading; a second was recorded and the motion carried by voice vote.
City officials in attendance thanked the EDC representative who joined the meeting. No public comment was recorded on the resolution at the meeting and no amendments were offered on second reading.
The resolution was adopted by the commission and becomes effective as stated in the document.
Key quote: [Commissioner to EDC representative] “Thank you for helping us. Appreciate it. So we got a motion second. All in favor, say aye.”
