Azerick said the town hall should be a standing tool for outreach rather than a one-time response to a specific crisis; she noted that some community members feel intimidated attending in-person meetings and that hosting online would make participation easier for people with work or family commitments. She offered to help spread the word and encouraged the district to make information accessible as the school year begins.
The board did not vote on the suggestion during the meeting. No board member committed to scheduling a virtual town hall on the record; the item remained a public comment request for staff and the board to consider.
