The Valley Central School District board appointed an interim principal for the high school and approved a related agreement with VCAA, the board said.
Board President (President) called for a motion to appoint the interim principal. Board member Jane moved the appointment and Board member Katie seconded; the vote was 6-0 in favor. The board then considered an updated memo aligning language in the agreement with VCAA.
The board highlighted two changes in the memo from Ivan: insertion of a clause reading "ending upon the hiring of a new high school principal, whichever occurs first," and a provision stating that if either the district or Mr. Idi Petro wishes to terminate the employment relationship, the party will provide at least 14 calendar days' notice to the other. Board member Diane moved approval of the agreement and Board member Diana seconded; the vote was 6-0.
Minutes show the board accepted the appointment and approved the VCAA agreement by unanimous voice votes. The agreement and the named interim principal (referred to in the memo as Mr. Idi Petro) were discussed in open session; no further amendments were recorded in the transcript.
