The Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners voted to purchase and install standardized parking signs and posts across county properties to implement an adopted county parking ordinance, and authorized signs for 500 West Main (the Treasurer–Assessor–Licensing building).
Facilities staff presented proofs and locations for proposed signs. Commissioners asked that the county seal in proofs be rendered in the official black-and-white treatment rather than with color. Commissioners also discussed how sign purchase costs will be split among building budgets, with signage for 500 West Main to be charged to current expense. Staff said they will allocate costs by building location after installation.
Commissioners also asked staff to confirm the parking ordinance’s presence in district court/dispatch systems so deputies can cite violations; staff said they will coordinate with the prosecuting attorney and district court to ensure the ordinance is entered for enforcement. The board approved the sign purchase and installation 3-0.
