Ashcraft told the board the applicant meets state separation requirements from restricted gaming, schools and community facilities; the outstanding county-specific item was a waiver to reduce separation from residential adjacency, which is a county development standard. Planning staff recommended approval. Ashcraft said the project would meet state standards including minimum separation distances and that staff had reviewed the county's residential adjacency waiver request.
No members of the public spoke on the items during the hearing. Board members referenced a constituent notice and asked about neighborhood concerns; Ashcraft said planning considered proximity to the mobile home park and that staff recommended approval.
