William Lyon Homes submitted a tentative map for 20 single-family residential lots on about 14.39 acres north of Owens Avenue and west of Los Feliz Street in Sunrise Manor; the Sunrise Manor Town Advisory Board recommended approval at its Sept. 11 meeting.

The discussion focused on process details and a discrepancy in the staff report’s density number. Barb Mulhall, representing the applicant, told the board the site is “approximately 14.3 acres” and that the current application repeats a map that had been approved in 2021 but had since expired.

Board members and the applicant discussed technical steps remaining: Mulhall said the project is in the infrastructure plan (IP) sign-off stage and expects to obtain the necessary sign-offs before final map approval. One board member noted an apparent error in the staff packet’s density figure and stated the report’s listed density should be corrected; the speaker supplied an alternate figure during the meeting.

After the presentation and brief questions, a board member moved to approve the tentative map per staff recommendation. The board took a voice vote; the chair called for ayes, heard none opposed, and the motion passed.
