Enterprise vehicle-remarketing yard wins advisory board approval despite fuel-storage, traffic and lighting concerns

The Enterprise Town Advisory Board on April 9 voted to approve a use permit for an Enterprise vehicle-remarketing and storage facility near Windmill Lane and Placid Street after extended public comment and debate about fuel handling, truck access and neighborhood impacts.

The application covers roughly 3.91 acres north of Windmill Lane between Placid Street and Fairfield Avenue and would allow outdoor vehicle storage as the primary use while Enterprise prepares retired rental vehicles for sale. Marissa Furman, representing the applicant, said the site layout includes about 499 vehicle storage spaces, one single‑story operations building about 11 feet high and two driveways on Windmill. Furman said operations would be limited to weekdays roughly between 7–8 a.m. and 4–5 p.m. and that the site would be gated, monitored by CCTV and enclosed by an eight‑foot wrought‑iron fence with mesh screening.
