The Enterprise Town Advisory Board on Sept. 10 voted to approve a waiver of a longstanding condition that had prohibited a liquor store from operating at an existing 1.8-acre shopping center south of Warm Springs Road and east of Taneo in Enterprise.
The waiver removes a condition tied to an earlier approval that prohibited a tavern without a restaurant, a standalone liquor store and automotive repair at the site; the applicant seeks to convert a former furniture storefront into an upscale liquor retailer.
Nancy Amundsen, representing the applicant, told the board the original condition was attached after the center’s 2002 approval and that zoning categories have since been consolidated from C1/C2 into CG. “They'd like to put an upscale liquor store onto that site,” Amundsen said, noting the parties who originally agreed to the restriction had told the applicant they would re‑record changes if the waiver proceeds.
Board members asked no substantive follow-up questions. Staff recommended approval under its standard conditions, and the board voted to approve the waiver for WC25040086 per staff conditions. No public commenters spoke on the item at the meeting.
The board’s action is an advisory zoning-level approval; planning and zoning matters heard by the Enterprise board are forwarded to the Clark County Planning Commission or the Board of County Commissioners for final action.
