Hamilton Council approves consent agenda, amends agenda and postpones several items

Hamilton Township Council approved its consent agenda (CA1 through CA41) by unanimous 5-0 vote at the Jan. 7 reorganization meeting. Council also approved amendments to the meeting agenda, including postponing some items and updating titles to add names for certain board and commission appointments.
The administration asked to postpone a resolution to adopt an amended cash-management plan to allow the township CFO more time to complete work; the council agreed to carry that item to a future agenda. A resolution concerning appointments and reappointments to the Hamilton Township Environmental Advisory Commission was likewise postponed. Council members said they added appointees’ names to the titles for CA12, CA14 and CA15 and added names for CA16.
Council also removed “Firm 1 Water Consulting” from a vendor list associated with CA36, and added a resolution approving a second one-year contract extension with Krisscher, the township’s risk-management consultant. In addition, the meeting added a resolution authorizing transfers for calendar year 2025 (pro forma) and transfers between departments for the sewer budget.
Communications accepted by the council included a proclamation commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a commendation recognizing January as Radon Action Month, and receipt of documentation to amend an alcoholic beverage license for Raza’s Hospitality Group to add the trade name Raza’s at Hamilton. The council opened the meeting for public comment; residents asked clarifying questions about consent items (for example, CA31 and CA37), and praised public-works holiday displays at Cruiser Park.
All consent and amendment motions carried by unanimous 5-0 votes. The council clerk and staff will record the postponed items for placement on future agendas.
