Woodbridge Council elects Corey Spiller president, names Sharon McAuley vice president; first-reading ordinances advanced

Corey Spiller was confirmed as council president and Sharon McAuley as council vice president during the Woodbridge Township Council's reorganizational proceedings, and the council voted to advance a set of ordinances on first reading and approve a consent resolution package.

Spiller, nominated by Councilman Small and seconded by Mitch, was sworn in and thanked his colleagues and family. "I look forward to continue to work with Mayor McCormack, chief of staff Ehrlich, business administrator Similuca, and the rest of the administration," Council President Corey Spiller said after his confirmation.

The council approved resolutions 1 and 2, which confirmed the appointments of council president and vice president, by voice vote. The meeting then moved to first-reading consideration of eight ordinances listed as letters a through h; council members voted to pass those measures on first reading, with a public notice and scheduled public hearing to follow.
