Spring Valley — The Spring Valley Town Advisory Board opened its July 29 meeting with an announcement that longtime board member John Getter passed away the night before. The board observed a brief moment of silence and later moved to adjourn the meeting in his memory.

Planning staff (Shannon) told the board that two openings are now available and that applications are being accepted through Aug. 25; the Board of County Commissioners will appoint individuals to fulfill the remaining terms. During the meeting the board nominated and elected Matthew Tramp as vice chair; the motion carried.

Ending: The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 12; staff will accept applications through Aug. 25 to fill two advisory board vacancies and the county commissioners will make appointments to complete the terms.
