Spring Valley staff announces event center grand opening and overnight Tropicana/Jones work; Jones overpass opening scheduled

Staff also warned motorists about scheduled work on Tropicana Avenue near Jones: night work on the south side of Tropicana (around the southwest corner of Jones and Trout) will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekend periods, then subsequent weekend work will focus on the north side of Tropicana. Staff said businesses in the area will remain open but that drivers should expect congestion.
Finally, staff said the long-awaited Jones overpass at Blue Diamond will open at 6 a.m. on the 31st to help relieve congestion.
