The Spring Valley Town Advisory Board voted 3-2 on Feb. 25 to deny a special use permit and design review request to allow Pinecrest Academy to operate on the Boys & Girls Club site at Edna and Lindell.
The school’s applicant representative, Liz Olson, said the existing Boys & Girls Club building would remain in place and that the club’s before- and after-school programs “will continue to operate in perpetuity” under the purchase agreement.
