Board of Education adopts consent agenda, accepts Weber HSA donation

The Board of Education adopted its consent agenda and meeting minutes and accepted a donation from the Weber HSA at its Aug. 19, 2025 meeting. The board voted 4-0 to adopt the agenda and later voted 4-0 to approve agenda items 6.1 through 6.6, which included the donation and a package of retirements.
The vote on the consent agenda passed unanimously, with four board members recorded as present and voting yes: Sandra Alvarez; Deborah Brooks; Rachel Gillier; and Annette Milfoni. The motion to adopt the consent agenda covered items listed as 6.1 through 6.6 on the meeting packet; no amendments were recorded on the motion.
Board members thanked the Weber Home and School Association for a donation of eight game tables, one ADA-accessible table and two regular tables for district use. The board also acknowledged several employees listed as retiring on the agenda and offered thanks for their service.
During the meeting the board secretary (acting) announced upcoming committee meeting dates: Audit Committee on Oct. 6, 2025 at 9 a.m.; Budget and Facilities Committee on Sept. 15, 2025 at 9 a.m.; Curriculum Committee on Sept. 12, 2025 at 10 a.m.; and Policy and Personnel Committee on Sept. 19, 2025 at 10 a.m. These dates were provided as scheduling information and were not the subject of separate board action at the Aug. 19 meeting.
The meeting was brief and procedural; the board adjourned after noting upcoming meeting dates on Sept. 9 and Sept. 16.
