The Webster School District board on Aug. 19 approved a tax certiorari resolution to settle a multi-year claim involving three parcels commonly referred to as part of Webster Plaza.

A staff presenter said the matter had been ongoing for several years and that attorneys for the town, the district and the plaintiff had reached an agreement. The presenter said refunds will be paid from the district's tax certiorari reserve and that property ownership records for the parcels are hard to track; he supplied landmarks to help board members identify the parcels (for example, the presenter referred to a Target and Pizzeria Uno to help locate the properties).

Motion and vote: Carol moved to approve the tax certiorari resolution; Linda seconded. The motion passed on a voice vote: all present said "Aye."
