The Board of Education of the North Syracuse Central School District unanimously approved a proclamation at its Sept. 8 meeting declaring Sept. 8–12, 2025, as Maintenance and Operations Appreciation Week.
Board president Michael Murzio read the proclamation and said the declaration was made “to express our deepest gratitude” for maintenance and operations staff and “to be celebrated with appropriate educational activity.” Murzio moved the proclamation; “Bradstreet, second from Josh,” the board recording reflected. The chair then called for the vote and said, “That's unanimous.”
The proclamation text presented to the board said maintenance and operations staff “contribute to the school, family, and community by upholding professional work standards, receiving timely training, and approaching all tasks in a strong collective spirit of teamwork.” The item was presented at the start of the meeting and recorded as formally approved.
No budgetary changes or follow-up assignments were announced in connection with the proclamation.
