San Antonio councilman offers school supply support, pledges city help to Southwest ISD

Councilman Edward Munguia, newly elected to represent District 4, addressed the Southwest ISD Board during the public comment period to offer city support and announce upcoming school supply and turkey distributions. "I just wanna say here today, just as an introduction, my name is councilman Edward Munguia. I was just elected to District 4, this past May," Munguia said. He told the board his office and staffer Raul, a Southwest graduate, will serve as liaisons to the district and listed schools scheduled to receive supplies: Hidden Creek Elementary, Hidden Cove, Sky Harbor, Sun Valley, Meadow Creek, Southwest Elementary, Spicewood Elementary, and Bob Hope. Munguia also said Watson Road is planned for a bond-funded road project in the near term and said the city hopes to help balance growth in the area. "Whatever you need from the city of San Antonio, we wanna help you get that," he told trustees.
