District staff said the district will already own servers and the video-management platform from a prior purchase, so the camera procurement should eliminate the recurring license fees going forward; future costs will be replacement of failing equipment as needed.
The presenter said Altex was the lowest of three bidders and is a member of the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative. Funding for the purchase will come from Safe Cycle 2 grants and 2023 bond funds, according to the presenter’s materials. The motion to approve the purchase passed on a voice vote.
