Beaufort County commissioners on Tuesday approved a package of pre-disaster contingency contracts intended to allow the county to secure sheltering, debris removal, monitoring and other emergency services before storms hit. The approvals cover contracts for comfort shelter services, debris management and removal, debris monitoring, disaster reimbursement consulting, emergency fuel and power, potable water, and sanitation and hygiene services.
