The Duplin County Board of Commissioners voted July 14 to name a lane at 117 First Baptist Church Road in Warsaw Township “DC Hutt Drive.” Melissa Kennedy presented the request on behalf of Louis Costello and opened a public hearing; no members of the public raised objections.

Kennedy said the naming request was submitted by Louis Costello and that the lane is located at the First Baptist Church Road address in Warsaw Township. After the chair closed the public hearing, Commissioner Branch moved to accept the name and Commissioner Dow seconded the motion. The chair called for the ayes and the motion carried.

There were no recorded public comments in opposition during the hearing. The board treated the item as a procedural naming request and approved it during the meeting’s agenda.
