Grandview Arizona CMP rezoning continued to Oct. 28 for further conditions negotiation

The Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission on June 10 voted to continue a rezoning request for the proposed Grandview Arizona Community Master Plan (case PLZZ-23-00016) to the Oct. 28, 2025 commission meeting at the applicant's request.
Staff member Ken Galica told the commission the rezoning involves about 2,300 acres, most of which lie outside the city limits, and that staff and the applicant continue to negotiate conditions. "We continue to work with the owner and applicant on the conditions... Unfortunately, we're not ready to present the final conditions this evening, so the applicant has requested a continuance to the 10/28/2025 meeting," Galica said.
Commissioners moved and seconded the continuance motion. Staff noted there were attendees in the room for the item and offered to speak with residents after the meeting, but no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The commission voted in favor of continuing the item. "There's a motion on the floor. It has been moved and seconded. All those in favor? Aye," the chair said before the vote was recorded as passing.
The continuance leaves unresolved the specific approval conditions; staff and the applicant will return with negotiated conditions for commission consideration on Oct. 28, 2025.
