The Pearland Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 5-0 on Aug. 12 to approve the district's five-year strategic plan and balanced scorecard, a framework officials said will align district work and feed the superintendent's evaluation. The motion passed with trustees Johnson, Stuckey, Carbone, Weimer and Murphy present and trustees Carter and Scheffler absent.
