The Leander ISD board received routine updates on upcoming nominations to county appraisal district (CAD) boards, bond reporting and monthly financials.

CAD nominations: Assistant superintendent Pete Pape said Williamson and Travis CADs changed statutory notification dates; the district must receive CAD nomination information by Oct. 1 and return a trustee nomination by Oct. 15. The administration asked trustees to submit candidate suggestions by Sept. 19 for inclusion on the Oct. 9 board agenda.

Bond and finance reports: Monthly bond and bond‑oversight reports showed standard activity; the district said it will annotate the 2021 and 2023 bond pages to show oversight committee approvals and retroactive items. The investment report showed approximately $2.6 million in interest earnings for July across funds. The tax collection report indicated collections at about 99.2% for the fiscal year to date.

Budget and capacity planning: Trustees asked administration to provide updated capacity analyses and a recommendation timeline tied to fall budget conversations; administration said staff will present capacity updates in the coming workshop and continue budget planning through the fall.

Ending: The board accepted the monthly reports for review and asked for follow‑up materials on capacity, bond oversight annotations and a schedule of next steps toward the 2026–27 budget cycle.
