Board accepts personnel report and directs superintendent, attorney to proceed in special education hearing matter

After adjourning into closed session for personnel and legal deliberations, the Judson ISD Board of Trustees reconvened and took two formal public actions related to closed-session business.
Trustees voted 7-0 to accept the personnel report that had been reviewed in closed session. Trustee Kenoyer moved the motion and Trustee Stanford seconded.
Trustees then voted 7-0 to accept the superintendent and school attorney's recommendation and to direct those officials "to proceed as discussed in closed session concerning student versus Judson ISD before a special education hearing officer for the state of Texas, docket number 129SE0125." Trustee Ryan moved the motion and Trustee Kenoyer seconded.
Board officers stated that no final action, decision or vote had been taken while the board was in closed session and that the board's closed session had included consultation with counsel concerning the pending special-education matter. The board recorded both public votes after returning to open session.
