Godley ISD introduces two new school resource officers

Godley ISD introduced two newly hired school resource officers — Officer Mack and Officer Seaton — and officials described their credentials and training to trustees.
The Godley Independent School District introduced Officer Mack and Officer Seaton as two newly hired school resource officers (SROs) at the board meeting.
Chief Q (Chief of Police, Godley ISD) introduced the officers and summarized their experience. He said Officer Mack brings more than 25 years of law-enforcement experience, most recently as an SRO with White Settlement ISD and prior service with DFW Airport Police, and holds a TCOLE master peace officer license and several school-based certifications. On Officer Seaton, Chief Q said he brings more than five years of law-enforcement experience, most recently with the Somerville County Sheriff’s Department and as an SRO for Glen Rose ISD, holds a TCOLE advanced peace officer license and N.A.S.R.O. advanced certification, and serves as region 3 co-director for the Texas Association of School Resource Officers.
“Officer Seton is an incredible addition to the Godley ISD Police Department team,” Chief Q said. Trustees welcomed the officers and thanked the board for approving the additional positions that made the hires possible. No vote was required; the introductions followed earlier board approval to fund two additional SROs for the year.
