The school board scheduled a special meeting for Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. and said its next regular meeting will be Sept. 10, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Administration Building.

During the future‑topics portion of the meeting a board member asked for an update on housing and suggested the board could consider an executive session to discuss strategy; a participant said staff member Elena could prepare suggested verbiage. The board agreed to look into that.

Board members also discussed reviewing software that records meeting minutes and agreed to pass that information to the superintendent for further consideration.

A board member requested that Mr. Durado look into the GRT and prepare a presentation on “what it is that he learned regarding the GRT and how it affects the other South Vienna School Schools.” The board noted the superintendent would follow up and that a presentation could be scheduled.
