The Cerebral Zoning Board of Adjustment on Aug. 27 approved a variance allowing a proposed backyard pool at 28 Idlewild Avenue to be sited nine feet from the property line, after the applicant reported a neighbor agreement to permit the reduced separation.
During the continued hearing, the applicant reported that a neighbor (identified as Eddie) agreed to allow the pool edge to be nine feet from the property line rather than the originally proposed ten feet. The chair closed the public portion after asking whether anyone wished to speak.
After discussion, a board member moved and a second approved the application with the stated condition of nine feet; the board recorded a roll call vote in favor. The chair told the applicant the memorializing resolution will be prepared at the next meeting and advised the applicant to visit the construction office for permits.
No public objections were recorded in the hearing. The board’s approval was limited to the application as presented and memorialized in the forthcoming resolution.
