The applicant, who identified himself as Brian, told the board, “No,” when asked if he planned to sell packaged goods for off-site consumption and confirmed the license request is intended to permit on-premises consumption and expanded drink offerings tied to new kitchen equipment. Trustees discussed concerns about off-site single-item sales and noted they would monitor consistency with licenses issued to other downtown establishments.
Trustees completed a roll call and approved the ordinance. Franco said the license class aligns with other nearby businesses that have similar authority. The board and applicant also discussed patio service and serving liquor outdoors as part of the applicant’s long-term plans.
The ordinance was approved by roll call with all trustees present voting in favor. The village clerk will follow normal licensing procedures to issue the license and notify the applicant of any conditions or next steps required before opening.
