The Board of Education voted to adopt the Cornwall Central School District 2025–26 Code of Conduct and approved committee assignments and external appointments, including representatives to regional school board associations.
Board President Christine presented committee rosters and said assignments were circulated in advance; the board then moved and seconded a motion to approve the list and associated appointments. Christine also reminded members to publish meeting dates for the first half of the year and said she will circulate a form to allow board members to propose agenda items in advance.
Members discussed routing the question of community event table staffing and outreach to the Communications Committee for further planning rather than making a board‑wide commitment. Several members said a smaller committee should develop a plan for how the board listens and engages at public events.
The board also acknowledged incoming student board representatives. Interim Superintendent Megan said a district update will be shared with families before the start of school and praised summer curriculum work and staffing onboarding.
The Code of Conduct motion was approved by show of hands after a brief discussion; the transcript records no roll‑call tally of votes. The committee assignments and appointments to OCSBA, NISBA and the legislative liaison also were approved as distributed, and Christine said she would provide the finalized document to be attached to the minutes.
