Planning department to move offices in November and adopt Diligent agenda software

Planning Director Britney Hand told the Pennington County Planning Commission on Sept. 8 that the department will relocate its offices in November and move to digital agenda software used by the Board of Commissioners.
Hand said August building-permit activity was "a little slower than last year at this time," while single-family permits were keeping pace with 2024. She announced the department's move would occur the weekend of Nov. 7 and that "we will be in the new building on November 10." Hand said she was coordinating with the commission office and commission staff (Jordan) on logistics and notice requirements for moving public meetings to the new location, and that the commission's Nov. 10 meeting might still occur at the current location until the move is finalized.
Hand also said the department will adopt the Diligent software used by the Board of Commissioners for agenda and posting work and that it "will mostly be electronic." She added the planning department is working to confirm exact meeting dates and locations once logistics and notice requirements are satisfied.
