Board of Commissioners ties vote on RV park permit; planning commission told item continued
Summary
The planning commission was informed Sept. 8 that the Pennington County Board of Commissioners concurred with most planning commission recommendations from Aug. 25 but a conditional-use permit review (CUP 1928) for R and J LLC (Justin Eisenbraun) was continued after a 2-2 vote; a return date in September was referenced but not specified.

During its Sept. 8 meeting the Pennington County Planning Commission heard a county board report that the Pennington County Board of Commissioners concurred with the planning commission's recommendations from the Aug. 25 meeting except for one item.
Britney Hand, planning director, told the commission the Board of Commissioners left conditional-use permit review 1928 (R and J LLC, Justin Eisenbraun), a review of a recreational-vehicle park, unresolved after a 2-2 vote. "Because the vote was 2 2 on this item, it's automatically continued to the September," Hand said; the transcript did not specify a particular September date for the continued hearing.
The planning commission record shows the county board otherwise concurred with the commission's prior recommendations from Aug. 25. The continuation of CUP 1928 means no final county decision on that RV-park application was recorded in the transcript for Sept. 8.
Discussion versus decision: the planning commission received the county board report; the board's tie vote resulted in an administrative continuation of CUP 1928 rather than a final approval or denial.
