Hibbing commission holds closed session under Minnesota statute for general manager evaluation; returns with no action

The Hibbing Public Utilities Commission moved into a closed session under Minnesota Statute 13D.05, subdivision 3, to consider the general manager's evaluation and returned to open session without taking action.
On June 24 the Hibbing Public Utilities Commission voted to enter a closed session under Minnesota Statute 13D.05, subdivision 3, to consider the evaluation of the general manager.
Andy (legal counsel) read the statute and explained the general manager has the option to have the evaluation in open session; commissioners moved and seconded to go into closed session. Commissioner Babbage moved to go into closed session; Commissioner Stokes seconded. The motion carried on a voice vote.
After the closed session the commission returned to open session and announced it would take no action at that time.
