Hibbing approves up to $200,000 for engineering on two substation projects

At the June 24 meeting the Hibbing Public Utilities Commission voted to approve a proposal from Iron Range Engineering and Consulting Services LLC for up to $200,000 for engineering and project management on distribution substation projects.
Mr. Peterson told commissioners the work covers substations being built near the Ansley Water Tower and on First Avenue and that the scope — project management and engineering — was included in the previously approved budget for those projects.
Commissioner Hart moved to approve the contract not to exceed $200,000; Commissioner Sandstedt seconded. The motion carried on a voice vote.
