Supervisors approve quote to repair cracked pavement at McFarland Park parking lot

Mike, a county parks presenter, told the board the front parking lot is roughly 40 years old and occasional crack patching and asphalt repairs are needed. He said the work should have been included in the FY26 budget but was not; however, he told supervisors the county has funds available to cover the $5,954 quote from Denco Highway Construction Corp.
A supervisor moved approval of the Denco quote; the motion was seconded and the board voted to approve. The meeting transcript recorded votes of Merkin: Aye; Hazel (name variant in record): Aye; Heddens: Aye.
The board recorded no additional conditions on the work and staff said they did not expect to need extra funds beyond the quoted amount.
The parks department will schedule the crack repairs and report back to the board if scope or cost changes are required.
