Savannah Mitchell told the board she will host a wine‑and‑beer dinner on Sunday evening, Sept. 14, at her manor‑house venue (branded as Sunday Morning at Savannah’s) to benefit Opus, a community music school. Mitchell said the event would run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., feature string players from Opus and use Santoni’s as the caterer. She said two bartenders with TIPs‑style training would serve beer and wine only.
Mitchell said she had contacted immediate neighbors and that the event is private and small; she described the venue’s wraparound porch and west‑facing sunset views. Inspector Benford indicated he had no objections; commissioners noted the event’s limited size, the applicants’ training and the nonprofit beneficiary. The board granted the requested one‑day license with no objections on the record.
Mitchell thanked commissioners and said she would proceed with ticketing and coordination with Opus and the caterer.
