Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) staff provided the council with the operational report for August. OCFA said its units responded to 359 incidents in Stanton during the month, including eight fires, 295 medical aids, 38 traffic collisions and 18 hazardous-condition calls. Engines and medic squads assigned to unincorporated Orange County responded to an additional 14 incidents in unincorporated areas served by Engine/Medic 46.
OCFA staff summarized recent community outreach: engine and medic crews and community educators participated in Stanton—s National Night Out and the agency announced the annual 9/11 memorial scheduled at the OCFA regional fire operations and training center. OCFA also promoted its Girls Empowerment Camp scheduled for September 13—.
OCFA said wildland and seasonal activity continue to affect operations across the region and thanked the council for its attention to preparedness and for coordination with local staff. OCFA staff offered to answer council questions and to provide additional details if requested.
