Village staff updated the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Committee on June 6 that the YellowBanks boat-launch improvement project has secured four grants and that the village advertised the project for bids.
Staff said bidding documents and the remainder of the project plan arrived to the village late last week and that advertisements were placed twice, seven days apart, with a bid deadline timed to coincide with the June 16 village board meeting so the board could consider an award at that meeting.
“No questions were raised at committee,” staff said, and the committee did not take an action at the June 6 meeting. The project will return to the village board for an award decision; committee materials note the staff goal to avoid delaying the project until July.
