"This item was included in 2025 CIP with a budget amount of $300,000," the chief administrator (speaking for engineering/public works coordination) said during the May 7 meeting, and noted the project had been delayed while subsurface work, utility easements and restroom installations were completed. Staff asked council to reaffirm the project authorization so the borough could go back out to advertise the paving work.
Council confirmed those plans and asked whether the surface would be blacktop or concrete; staff replied it would be blacktop. The council voted unanimously to authorize advertisement; the meeting transcript does not include bid timelines, bid packages or an engineer's cost estimate beyond the CIP budget line-item.
