"It's one of these things that's a force multiplier when you can give people the right tools," he said, and asked council to consider a $5,000 to $10,000 allocation to the group for equipment and supplies.
Michael (Chief Administrator) asked Vandevana to provide contact information to coordinate further and suggested the borough could explore grant or foundation channels as appropriate. Councilmembers encouraged coordination with municipal staff; no formal action was taken at the meeting.
The Parks & Rec Foundation and the borough’s recreation staff were identified as likely partners for any funding plan.
