"I kinda joined right in the middle of summer reading here, which is a very exciting time to join the library," Anderson said. She said the library's summer reading party drew "over 200 people." Anderson outlined fall plans: a grade-school "safari story time" with nonfiction and STEM elements, additional tween writing and teen art programs, and a toddler story time series scheduled for September. She also highlighted a passive engagement activity: a mailbox outside her office where children can "write a letter to a librarian," and said replies show children asking for "stuffies, story time, books, art, stickers, and rainbows."
