The City of Franklin Beer Board on March 13 approved an on-premises beer permit for Fozzie's Cool Springs Inc., dba Fozzie's Cool Spring, at 600 A Fraser Drive, Suite 135, contingent on the applicant providing a certificate of occupancy.
Rodney Hammerstrom II, co-owner and general manager, said the concept is a higher-end sports bar with live music, a full kitchen and full bar; staff said the applicant is waiting on the certificate of occupancy and recommended approval conditioned on its receipt. Aldermen moved and seconded the contingent approval; the motion passed with yes votes from Alderman Barnhill, Alderman Caesar and the chair.
Staff noted letters of recommendation and prior experience at the applicant's Spring Hill location; the board required the CO be provided before final authorization is recorded.
