The City of Leesburg Planning Commission on Feb. 20 postponed two items that required additional neighborhood meetings and plan revisions.
Staff and applicants said neighbors raised concerns about access and wetlands, prompting requests to postpone the Venice at Lake Harris small-scale comprehensive plan amendment and the Old Mill Subdivision small-scale comp plan and PUD cases to allow applicants to meet with neighbors and revise plans. The commission approved the postponements; both items were continued to the March 20, 2025 meeting.
Logan Opsal of Lowndes, a representative for the Old Mill applicant, said the team scheduled a community meeting to address access and wetlands concerns and would revise the plans accordingly before returning to the Planning Commission.
Because both items were continued at the applicants' request, no action was taken on project merits and no public written comments were recorded in the staff report.
