The Planning Commission on July 16 recommended approval of a narrow code correction to remedy an erroneous reference and to change terminology from "food truck" to "mobile business" in the permitted uses table. Staff identified an incorrect cross-reference in Section 10.7(a)(2) that pointed to Section 10.22.17; the correct reference is Section 10.22.11. While proposing that correction, staff recommended replacing the term "food truck" with "mobile business" so the table is consistent with the rest of the town code.
Commissioners said the change was straightforward and consistent with prior work sessions. Jennifer McCullough moved that the commission recommend adoption of the change to Chapter 10.7(a)(2) to correct the reference and to replace the term; the motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote with commissioners recorded in the affirmative.
The change is editorial/terminology and is intended to improve clarity; it will become effective only if the Town Council adopts the commission’s recommendation.
