Council recommends approval of transfer for Garage Sports Bar liquor license

The Sahuarita Town Council on Aug. 20 voted to forward a recommendation of approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control (ADLLC) for the transfer of a Series 6 bar liquor license for the Garage Sports Bar, located at 19221 S. Alpha Ave. No public protests or departmental objections were received during the local review.
Deputy Town Clerk Mark Felix reviewed the application submitted by Ana Luisa Castro Gonzalez to transfer license number 06100027 from Garage AS BBQ LLC to VC Garage LLC. Felix said the application met local requirements and that the required 400‑foot notification and fees had been satisfied. Staff reported no objections from police, public works or community development and that the town clerk’s office had received no written protests.
The council moved to forward a favorable recommendation to ADLLC; ADLLC retains final authority to approve the transfer.
