The East Side Union High School District Board of Trustees on Aug. 14 approved an employment agreement for Superintendent Glenn Venesi, extending his contract term to July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028, with no change in compensation.
Board staff presented the agreement as a reset of the contract term; the agreement explicitly does not include any salary increases granted to certificated or classified employees. Trustees voted unanimously to approve the employment agreement.
Venesi spoke briefly after the vote, thanking the board and community and reiterating that the agreement does not change his compensation and will not apply the 2 percent negotiated increase to his position.
The action was an employment contract approval and did not include a salary adjustment for the superintendent.
