Jason Piccione, chief information officer for the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, updated the advisory committee on the bureau’s IT modernization project and said the team is on target to deliver three primary business outcomes this spring: full data conversion from the legacy SAIL system to the new Connect platform, online annual fee payments, and online quarterly Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) submissions.
"We're on target to land those as planned," Piccione said, and invited questions from committee members. No public comments were received on the item.
Why it matters: The Connect platform is expected to provide new workflow visibility and online filing capabilities that bureau staff and institutions have cited as priorities for reducing processing delays and improving transparency.
