District staff told the board the high school tennis area carries the largest cost because it requires more base work than the other two campuses. Staff said the district expects the work to be completed this summer and described the project as part of commitments made to taxpayers for facility improvements.
A trustee moved to approve the TIPS contract with Gallagher Construction; a second was recorded and the motion passed by voice vote. Staff noted additional related work will include lane widening at West Intermediate and later improvements to the high school main parking lot once construction there is finished.
The board packet item described three parking-lot improvements and identified the combined contract total. No public opposition or alternate bids were recorded during the meeting discussion.
