The Wylie ISD Board of Trustees adopted the teacher appraisal system calendar and the list of appraisers for the 2025–26 school year under the T-TESS framework and approved using appraisal results in contract-renewal decisions. Separately, trustees approved the district'9s required staff training plan tied to recent legislative requirements. A presenter identified as "Mister Vincent" summarized changes from the most recent legislative session (SB 1267) and said the district has met the accommodations and compliance requirements and that "our training matrix has not will not change for this year." The presentation said building principals maintain most training records and that supervisors ensure staff complete role-specific trainings. A motion to approve the training plan carried on an affirmative voice vote.
Board members praised central staff for organizing the training and appraisal materials and confirmed that coaches, nurses and other specialized staff have role-specific training requirements. Trustees did not alter the calendar or the training schedule at the meeting.
