WYLIE ISD staff presented the proposed spending plan for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), recommending that 90% of the allotment be distributed directly to eligible teachers in two equal payments.

Catherine (presenter) said the district will distribute 90% of the TIA funds directly to teachers, split into two payments of 50% each in May and August of the following year. “We are giving 90% of that directly to our teachers and that’s going to come in two payments ... 50% each time,” the presenter said. The presentation listed staff who participated in planning the allotment spending plan (Richard Spencer, Holly Cooper, Tommy Vaughn and Catherine).

Board members asked for confirmation that the document is properly titled an “allotment spending plan”; staff confirmed and no changes were requested. The board did not record a formal roll-call in the transcript but moved forward with the plan as presented.

Staff did not provide an exact dollar figure for the TIA total during the presentation; the plan describes the payout mechanism and schedule only. Staff said they would finalize details and incorporate the plan into district payroll procedures.
